Word is he was a very nice unassuming man.
There are people like that. Not to start an argument, but Bob Saget was too. One of my favorite quotes is from the English actor Paul Eddington, of "Yes, Minister" fame. In his last interview, when people knew he was dying, he was asked what he would like his epitaph to be. "He did very little harm." I like that very much.

I know Saget was a good man, I just had a problem with his standup.

I’m pretty sure it was him, or else john pinette, but love the bit about the roast beef buffet in Vegas… “hit me, hit me, hit me”… LOL

Louie was great. I've been fortunate enough to see a lot of great stand ups. I saw him in Harrisburg when a club on 3rd st did comedy on the 3rd floor. It was while Louie was on Diving With The Stars. anyway, here was no elevator so Louie comes out huffing and puffing. He riffs on there being no elevator for a few minutes accusing his agent of "being in on it". He came back to the stairs periodically the rest of his set. He was clearly making it up while doing his prepared material. Total pro and was very nice afterwards. RIP Louie.

Loved Louie Anderson. Funny guy and was great in Baskets. Never cared much for Meatloaf’s music though he seemed like a legitimately good dude. sages always annoyed the hell out of me. But the death this week that has gotten me is Clark Gillies. I’m just throwing it in here because it won’t get any notice on here on its own but he was a hero of mine growing up.
