If Polk wants Raffo to take over at MSU when he resigns, he should leave now and let him coach the team the rest of the season. If we catch fire and finish above .500, make the SEC tourney, and make a regional, then maybe he deserves it. Tommy has some completely different ideas than Polk but has never been able to showcase them. He needs some experience. If Polk won't let him coach the rest of the season, there would be no way I would hire him at MSU if I were the AD. Greg Byrne already knows how fed up most of the fans are with Polk, his NCAA bashing, and his apparent low-key attitude toward everything. Polk should not have any say-so in naming a new coach AGAIN. Once is enough.

Ever since he came back, we have been mediocre at best. That should never happen with our history and facilities. We NEED a shot of new energy. Let's see if Raffo is it. Let him coach the remainder of the season. If nothing changes, then he is NOT the man. Let's do a complete search and see what proven winners would come to MSU. I sincerely believe that we would be totally surprised at how many quailified candidates would crawl for this job.

The season is basically gone, Polk should step step aside and put his *** in charge - especially if it is true that he is pushing for Raffo - and see what happens. We've got injuries, but lets see what type style he plays and what type of choices he makes as far as strategy goes.

rumor yesterday from a player's parent. Not that Polk should do that, but that he very well may do it.
