Has anyone heard the rumor that Raffo interviewed for the job at Jones CC to be their HC?

I know that we have some experts on Jones County on the board, and thought that they might know something.

I know several folks who've worked (and most still do) for Jones and others who've been members of its board of trustees. Financially, JCJC is known to get a lot of support.

Traditionally, it more so than the other jucos in Mississippi has the feel like it's more of a college experience for entering freshmen probably because it's one of the few single-campus jucos in the state, and since it's a single-campus juco, Jones doesn't have to spend as much money on physical plant upkeep as do other colleges. If Dave Ramsey was in charge of a community college, he'd be in charge of Jones. JCJC builds when the money is there.

Oh, and as far as Bobby Glaze is concerned, Glaze had won a 4A title at Laurel and had the opportunity to go to Jones when he could. Since JCJC has long had the reputation of treating its employees well, it was a very good move for him.

I hope he gets the Arkansas State job.

I've certainly done my share of bashing, only because I felt like he wasn't the best possible coach for us and I want what's best for MSU, but at the same time, if ever hopes to even get back into the SEC, this is the kind of job he should've taken four or five years ago. I hope he takes the criticism from MSU fans- not aggressive enough, not a good enough recruiter, and etc, and learns from it and turns this situation into a positive.

Plus, if we ever play Arkansas State, it would certainly make for an intriguing weekend early in the season or during the midweek.
