The Athletic’s Until Saturday podcast ranked the schools that have recently hired or have current job openings based solely on *recruiting potential.* Of course Texas A&M was ranked first. However, Ari Wasserman (Mr. Stars Matter) and Mitch Light had State second ahead of Michigan State. They cited Mississippi State’s recruiting footprint in the heart of the talent rich south, being in the SEC, and recent success in recruiting rankings.
