Everyone loves it when their schools share in the big bucks from conference media rights deals, not so much when they have to pay for it.
But it’s all relatively. Fewer commercials might mean the Big Ten and SEC would get paid less, so would everyone else and those leagues would still have a financial advantage.

When a school has an athletic department that spends like there is no tomorrow, it's the absolute dollars that matter. Tose commercials help pay for the large staff that Franklin has, so enjoy them.

You should sit through them in the stadium. It did SEEM that the NBC TV timeouts were shorter than ABC games. most were 2 1/2 minutes and ABC are often over 3 minutes

This also makes going to the games brutal. I sit in the stands wondering what’s the hold up. Let’s go! I realize it’s all money driven but it really takes away from seeing it live. I couldn’t watch Saturday night (did rely on you guys for updates 😊) and recorded it. Watched Sunday morning with my coffee and skipped all the commercials. I’m sure the NCAA will hear us 😏
