Second rd draft choice at worse especially if he kills the combine like our other guys

Not sure that really does hurt and certainly all the best to him. Now either find someone in the portal or on roster who plays mean.
Watch the second half of this video and tell me if this is what our offense looked like this year.

I wish there was a sports book taking action on that prop. :)
me too....

Great size, athleticism, and enough strength to hold up against NFL level defenders. Walker is going to give a solid, consistent performance week in and week out. Along with that, Walker has only played left tackle, with 30 games played and 26 starts, during his time at Penn St. at the time of writing this article. I know that Neal will have an entire season at left tackle by the time the draft gets here, but that experience advantage is enough for me to have Rasheed ahead of Neal in my personal rankings. My fellow analyst Ken is in agree, emt. Because of this, I believe that Walker is easily a first round talent and will be in the running to be the first offensive tackle taken in the draft next April.

I hope, for his sake, you are right. I believe that report was written before the season (is that correct)? It mentions how impressed the writer was with Walker's "high motor" (among other traits). That either indicates the writer penned that evaluation before the season was played - or without having actually watched Walker play, obviously.

Franklin probably wrote it for the author.

Posters here said the same thing about Oweh last season. He's not even going to get drafted, Yada Yada Yada. Then when he got drafted in the first round and is second in the NFL in QB pressures those same posters are saying he was playing last season not to get hurt. Pathetic, obviously. U get it

Oh no! Who is going to cave in the left side for an easy 7 yds off tackle?? Oh, wait a minute. Never mind.

Jason Oweh (and Donovan Smith, for that matter) were 10X more effective football players at Penn State than Rasheed Walker has been. Seriously, anyone who watched them play for more than five minutes would recognize that, obviously. :)

I am sure you are right that a lot of fans probably downplayed, maybe even disparaged, Jason Oweh - but that only means that a lot of fans have no idea what they are talking about. It has nothing to do with Rasheed Walker.

no written 4 games in
At the time of this writing Rasheed, now a redshirt junior, has helped the Nittany Lions get off to a 4-0 start. They are currently averaging 31.5 points per game and 421.3 total yards per game.

this is why he is a top pick...you dont see 6'6" 300+ do this
I’m always impressed to see people the size of Walker do the things they do during games. I mean here he is almost hurdling a running back (image to left). He moves so smoothly for someone that is six and a half feet tall and well over 300 pounds. A solid, quick kick-step at the snap helps him get in position on edge rushers. Rasheed displays great footwork and balance as well. So much so, that he has this great ability to recover when he gets out leveraged by the defender. He bends so well in these situations and simply guides the rusher around the edge of the pocket, even though he looked like he was beaten just a second before. Walker also easily can get up to the second level while run blocking.

Great. The next time there is a need for an offensive tackle to hurdle (almost) a running back - he's first in line.

And you don't see many NFL caliber players who can do this - so consistently:

Yep. If they didn't wear different jerseys, you couldn't tell him apart from Anthony Munoz. :sneaky:

I question you didnt bother reading the linked report. Wrong generation, Joe Thomas.
You would be wrong. I definitely did read it. It was wonderful :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

You're right, obviously. So, so, so spot on!

Honestly, if you want to make the case that he was an awful OT during his time at Penn State, due to horrendous coaching, I don't think too many people would argue with you - given the performance of all the rest of his mates who were coached by the same guys. That would be a strong take, obviously.
But that doesn't make him Joe Thomas - that makes him a really bad OT, who got that way (at least in part) due to horrible coaching. But, however he got there, that's where he is.

Rasheed Walker NFL Comparison: Don’t shoot the messenger, but when watching him I got some young Joe Thomas vibes. Walker still needs to develop more though.

We'll see soon enough come draft day!!

Walker has day 3 written all over him. I guess he could slip into the 3rd round, but don’t see any way he’s one of the top 64 guys taken. He didn’t do himself any favors this season.

With that being said...

Is it an NCAA violation not to use this phrase in your social media announcement regarding your future with a program?

It's almost without exception that this phrase leads the final paragraph.

I know, who cares, but it's uncanny how consistent this is. It piques my curiosity every time I see one of these announcements.
