He better make a move while we are the best job available.
I was amazed at how quickly they let Kingston go. The portal takes away the luxury of end of the year evaluations at least for baseball.

I agree with other posters. RT is probably interviewing already.

Tick tock, Ray. Tick Tock……..

I will say we shouldn’t be surprised. He’ll get his 6th choice before the end of July. I have zero faith that we’re getting a big name who’s still leading his team in the tournament.

Not sure if any of you have been involved in hiring processes before, but no, these things can take 2-3 weeks easily by the time you go back and forth with candidates and/or agents to gauge interest, interview, perhaps invite on campus to view facilities, go back and forth with board members to approve salary terms, And there is also the possibility that your candidate is getting multiple offers from different schools. You probably have to interview at least one minority candidate under DEI requirements ... not sure if Athletics is exempt from that at state institutions. There is a lot that goes into it....
Wouldn't shock me if the dragged on at least another week.

You guys need to go listen to Inside The Gamecocks The Show from yesterday with Mike Morgan

This beat down of Tanner is getting old.

He goes over several hires prior to and by Tanner. Once you listen to the background history, you might find out some real information

He doesn’t have these wonderful outlooks of McGee and Hyman that others seem to have on here

The average fan doesn't have a clue about the hiring process and often shows their ignorance of it when they open their mouths and/or post online.

Not personally involved in hiring a baseball skipper, but I have seen the scene in Moneyball many times where the Red Sox tried to hire Billy Beane. 😂
