Not that I care too much but take this quote for what it is worth from rebel sheep board:

Why wait two weeks?

I am going to laugh my *** off when the SEC does not rule him eligible.
I mean what classes did he take this year?
I did not know they offered primary school courses at a University.
I guess all of his classes were one on one instruction too..
This whole thing is one big joke.

He's been in college for a year and has passed his courses with a high enough GPA to play. I'm sure the courses he took are a joke, but how's that any different than 1/2 the football rosters at any other school? Clear him and let him play.

I agree. The story is tragic enough as it is. Hopefully, he can make a success of his life.

if the people at ole miss care so much about this kid then they should have told him to go to junior college, and if he is so good, then wouldn't he be in the pros by now??

He is coming to become eligible, take about half a season to get in decent shape, play 5 or 6 games then declare for the draft....

is that overall GPA? example: if you have a 2.5 and then get a 1.0 in the spring and summer but it brings you down to a 2.2 overall...are you still eligible for the fall? just curious.

All athletes at Ole Miss, and I'm assuming everywhere else, get one on one tutoring whenever needed.

8 study hall or tutor hours a week is required for every athlete, no matter the GPA.

Study guides for each individual test are readily available for any athlete for almost any class.

"Regular" students are encouraged to enroll in a note-taking program (as they get paid if they do), the majority of which notes go to the athletic tutoring center to be copied off for athletes.
