How Ole Miss beat Georgia by 18 and still managed to lose three games with that roster and that schedule is one of the most confounding results in the history of this state.
I absolutely believe they could have won the whole damn thing had they beaten Kentucky, LSU, or Florida.
The national title game could have been Ole Miss vs. Ohio State/Judkins.

If they start 5-0 with a win against LSU at home, I don't see how they don't win 10 games, even assuming a loss at Georgia. We can't assume they will drop another game to an otherwise winless SEC team.
For the first time since black people were allowed to participate, they won 10+ games in three out of four years. They lost an underrated quarterback and many pieces from an elite defense. Do you predict a return to the regression line? Or do you think they will reload and have the season they were supposed to have in 2024?

There is no question that OM would have been one of the more competitive teams if they'd gotten in.

The LSU loss was actually a win for them - O.T. - 3pts - in Baton Rouge - Their REAL Rival. They win against either FL or UK or beat us 28-0, they coulda been contenders.

They were absolutely better than some of the teams that were there. That said, I have no sympathy for anyone who didn't get an at large bid. Especially them.
I don't think they were. They played a soft schedule and had their toughest game at home. They didn't deserve to be there at all.

True, but the group of teams we're talking about also don't return world-beaters at QB. And they can lose up to two games.
I definitely think Ole Miss will take a step back in 2025, I just think their schedule is nearly optimized to get 10 wins.
