Red Maples are turning in State College

For all you romantics coming to the Illinois game, heck even the Bowling Green game, many of the Maples are already in full turn to their fall reds. No idea why so early this year other than they all had buds and produced leaves way ahead of schedule back in the spring.

In the Seven Mountains area enough maple leaves have fallen to think about raking. And at home here in the Poconos the maple leaves that have fallen are covered with Maple Tar Spot - a fungal disease caused by heat & humidity
