Rules are just "blowing in the wind" these days. And we never know which way the wind is blowing.
Nothing more than allowing teams to plug in better players for transfer players. If a player has already played the 4 game limit he can now play in another game and still keep his red-shirt. Should help teams provide a more competed team.

I agree with a reporter's take that bowl games are exhibition games and that is why they shouldn't count toward a player's redshirt eligibility. With the transfer portal and opt-outs, teams are playing short handed
