But he left MSU & the SEC to go to Connecticut for three years (2014-2016). So I don't think that money/prestige was the reason.

He left to go to UCONN because he was close with Bob Diaco (cannot recall the connection). So when Diaco got that job he was going. We tried to keep him, but nothing we could do given the relationship.

Edited to add, they were at Virginia together from 06-08. That’s the connection.
