There actually are 613 commandments, but Moses couldn't carry them all.
#257 was pretty good: “Thou shalt not park in the parking space your neighbor dug out after the blizzard last Wednesday.”

The Ten Commandments was a wonderful movie I always looked forward to watching. Back then, with only four stations to choose, the opportunity to watch the movie on tv was infrequent.

It’s maddening. I actually got in trouble with my wife on a recent trip when I snapped at her to move to middle lane because there was a car bearing down on her in the left lane in the interstate. She snapped back, “I’m already going 78!”. I returned, “But he wants to 90 so move over and let him pass!”
Few hours of quiet ensued (albeit, with a driver change).
One of the great lines on the old board was, “My wife lets me steer the car.”

I wish they would show it more on non-commercial tv. I was looking and it is wild to think that Edward G. Robinson was born in 1893 and continued to work into the 1970's. A lot of greats in that cast.
I would like to see Jesus Of Nazareth on TV like they used to , like Hollywood pushes Christians aside on purpose.
Last time you saw it on tv does it offend you too. A great story about the life of Christ . Sorry it offended you.

To be in step with the times, Hollywood is working on a new drama titled, Jesús of Nazareth, Pennsylvania.

I consider Jesus of Nazareth to be the best movie about Christ. But you have to remember that it’s six hours and twenty-two minutes long. You’re not going to see this on network TV like The Ten Commandments. The BluRay version is $13.93 on Amazon.
Not to mention that it is a really good movie and no I'm not offended by it. This on the other hand, yes, I have issues with. It wasn't needed.

Perspective is a funny thing. I watched the Bible miniseries on History when it came out. I thought it was a very good education piece about the bible. Then I was at a Passover Seder and was surprised at some of the responses to the program.

Watching the 10 Commandments on network tv with commercials, for 4 hours 44 minutes, is like crossing the desert for 40 years.....using a DVR and fast forwarding through the commercials, is like hopping in the Range Rover with the kids for the dessert journey!
