I thought you couldn't enter two years in a row w/o sitting a year.

That was also my understanding, but I've been wrong before.

I am pretty sure the rules passed earlier this year limited it to a one-time transfer with immediate eligibility.

Other major rule change didn't pass

In the same vote, the NCAA voted down the idea of players entering the transfer portal an unlimited number of times without penalty.

Such a rule would have created complete free agency in college football and other sports by allowing players to move schools whenever they want.

I don’t get it. Started every game….we weren’t consistent with any receiver or TE early on but he obviously will get more targets next year. I’ll guarantee the reason we threw two Adkins a little more the last couple of games was because he was a blocking tight end and other teams were not expecting him to go out for a pass.

Maybe it’s all due to academics and he wants to complete his graduate degree at another school?

Good point…..I was thinking after getting over his illness where he lost so much weight he was trying to get back in shape and hoping to get a pro career. Oh well…I wish him well.

That’s surprising and i’m curious where he’ll end up. It’s likely already been worked out behind the scenes.

Can you xfer twice as a Graduate? From his player profile when he arrived here:

Tight end who transferred after graduating from Oklahoma.

Honestly, while I do not like it, this one does not sting as much ... I like Traevon Kinion and hoping that Bell returns and we are
positioned with two TE's and either another on the roster already or through recruiting ... keeping Rattler and Bell are very pivotal to me ... life is good - Peace!

He seemed too slow to be a TE in the NFL.

I really don’t see starting over again at a third school, but good luck to him! (Didn’t realize he was returning to his original school. Still don’t see making a third change.)

I guess he’s going back to his old girlfriend.

Anyone thinking anything other than NIL money is leading the horses to water is kidding themselves. These days there is now truly an “I” in “Team”

Is Stogner worth NIL money?

I find that hard to believe, but Oklahoma will welcome him back for sure.
FWIW, Stogner said he was wanting to be closer to home. OU is just about 3 hours from his hometown of Plano, TX. If that's his reasoning, I don't mind. There's something to be said for your folks being able to drive up the road to see you play. Or maybe it was just a convenient excuse.

And if that’s the case…..good for him. I am just saying the times are different and we need to use the portal like we have, and forget the ones who leave. I would want my kid closer if I was a parent.

Like I said in another post, we will easily make up his production on the field. To me, his biggest value came from the notoriety we got from him and Rattler transferring in.
