Wow---I immediately remember his roles in Glory....also in Primal Fear with Ed Norton and Richard Gere.

He was great in Glory.

Lung cancer. Diagnosed just a few months ago which means it was really advanced when they found it. If you are 50 or over and have a smoking history get a screening lung CT every year. That’s really the only way to catch lung cancer in time to cure it

I don't know whether or not Mr. Braugher was a smoker. There has lately been a concerning uptick (it seems to me) in lung cancer in non-smokers.

The earlier seasons in Homicide were first-rate. Great group of actors.

‘Homicide’ would easily be in my top five tv shows ever. Probably top three.

The episode with Crosetti’s (John Polito) funeral was gut wrenching. Since it was a suicide, the police department wouldn’t allow an honor guard at the funeral. Pemberton (Braugher) refuses to attend the service as he had lost his faith in the church. When the funeral procession turns the corner to pass in front of the station house, Pemberton was on the front steps in his dress uniform saluting.

Thanks for the reminder of that special scene.
