JMO but his chocolate doughnut is better than anything Dunkin offers up.

Both donuts in that picture are better than Dunkin.

Years ago, Entenmann’s made a Louisiana Crunch Cake that was really good. I don’t see it in food stores these days. It was a big cake, so perhaps it wasn’t a big seller.

EDIT: It’s still around.

He was OK with me. About 50 years ago in a dazed state I wrote letters to the presidents of six or seven baking concerns wherein I praised their products. Two or three of them had someone in I suppose customer relations send a thank you note. He sent me a personally signed letter of thanks and coupons for 1/2 off on $20.00 of their products. He gained a customer for life.

The soft chocolate chip cookies as a kid were almost like eating the cookie dough itself. And the crumbed doughnuts. Unfortunately, according to the article he wouldn't know. Fascinating.
