While Charley was a Georgia Bulldog legend he came from the heart of coal country in Pittston. He's a football legend with Wyoming Valley roots!

My Dad saw him in the 1943 Rose Bowl while stationed in the Army at Santa Anita racetrack. Dad grew up in Easton PA and already knew about Charlie ( guess he was from Scranton area).
