Some great Saturday mornings at the studio and Monday nights at the Memphis Mid-South Coliseum in the 70’s and 80’s.Late 60’s thru 80’s in Memphis
Also an owner with the king Jerry Lawler and his son is Jeff jarrett
And I think into north Alabama and MS, into Arkansas and KY as well.At one point he ran all of the wrestling in TN.
I think it was Jimmy Valient. Something about "rollin into Mempho on TWA".Didn’t Lawler come up with the Mempho saying ?
Because certain wrestlers couldn’t say Memphis?
Tell all the pretty ladies Handsome Jimmy’s on the way!I think it was Jimmy Valient. Something about "rollin into Mempho on TWA".
Great promoter, hell of a chicken salad recipe.Good wrestler always got the crap beat out of him at the start of a match, but always ended up winning at the end. I bet him and TOJO are the tag team champions again in that great ring in the sky
He was a lot more famous for being a promoter and booker than he ever was as a wrestler. He basically ran the Memphis territory until the 90's came along and territories all but died. What era of wrasslin? Name isn't familiar to me.
