For a hell of a lot of currently middle-aged dudes, she was the Goddess of their youth. (Mine was Julie Christie, now 82.) RIP.
In my youth, had the hots for a woman who looked exactly like Newton John.
Oh, well.
What a shame. Very talented and seemed like a genuinely good person.
Back in 1978 it may have been the pnly PSU game I voluntarily missed. They were playing Syracuse and I could've gone to see it but opted to go to the movies that day to see Grease (For the 4th time...)! ONJ was the reason I saw Grease so many times! Gorgeeous and classy a lethal combo..
If angels exist, they sing like Olivia Newton John.

She came from quite a family. Among others, her grandfather was Max Born, a Nobel Prize winner in physics.
