Us older guys will remember Sullivan to Beasley. Suicide at 73
They beat us 56-0 in 1970. I was sitting with Robert Bell outside the Union one morning the week after. I asked Robert was it as bad as it sounded on the Radio and I'll never forget his reply "mane they coulda beat us hundred points if they wanted to" . Terry Beasley was a hell of WR and Robert Bell a hell of a good guy (and D-Lineman). Good times.

I went to the '72 Sugar Bowl which featured Heisman winner Sullivan and Beasley against Oklahoma lead by Jack Mildren. Oklahoma's wishbone offense ran for 450 yards and its defense destroyed Auburn. Final 40-22. The game was played at old Tulane Stadium.
