Did anyone grab a burger before they closed? I was going to head down last night but they ran out of food and closed early.
Its off Rosewood. Not too far from the Publix. It was a block or so from where Pizza Man used to be. Its been there for 41 yearsWhere was it? I missed it. How long did they operate?
So, it was a solid fixture in that corridor, almost an institution. It's always bad to see those go.Its off Rosewood. Not too far from the Publix. It was a block or so from where Pizza Man used to be. Its been there for 41 years
They owned pizza man also. My families favorite pizza joint prior to closing. Its off Rosewood. Not too far from the Publix. It was a block or so from where Pizza Man used to be. Its been there for 41 years
They were in a nice building and good location. I would be surprised if we don’t see another, similar place open there. So, it was a solid fixture in that corridor, almost an institution. It's always bad to see those go.
The story in the State hinted at that possibility but nothing solid was mentioned. They were in a nice building and good location. I would be surprised if we don’t see another, similar place open there.
Suprised they didn't sell the building and the business. Maybe there wasn't a market for a sale. They did very little advertising and didn't have a visible sign to mark the business and did well. The story in the State hinted at that possibility but nothing solid was mentioned.
They did sell it to a local developer who is planning on renovating it and bringing another restaurant in there. That is what the article I read the other day in the Post and Currier said.Suprised they didn't sell the building and the business. Maybe there wasn't a market for a sale. They actually closed down on Wednesday. They originally were going to stay open until Sunday but after the word got out about them closing, people flocked to the restaurant and they ran out of food and supplies.Did anyone grab a burger before they closed? Understand. I thought someone would come in and buy the Rockaway name etc rather than putting in a new restaurant. They did sell it to a local developer who is planning on renovating it and bringing another restaurant in there. Absolutely loved that place in my youth before the fire - great prices on longnecks and the annual crawfish festival in the back parking lot - stumbled out the back door too many times to stay at friends' houses that lived close by.Did anyone grab a burger before they closed?
