Bradshaw's team was loaded with talent. I'm pretty sure they won D2 (or whatever they were called that year) a National Championship. It was hot and muggy that day and Bradshaw ran over everyone being that he was about 215 lbs and was fast. If you recall Msu was in shambles as for as having a football program. If folks think we had bad times with some of Croom and JWS teams losing and playing bad then they ought to "thank there lucky stars" they didn't live thru that era. Getting beat 74-0 by Houston was about as bad as any lose in our history.
Oh, Jack was at his best that night, after Houston scored on the first play or two, Jack stated "better get the media guide out, I believe this is gonna be a long night".

we couldn't stop there passing game. I also remember a rainy night in Starkville when we beat La Tech and finished 1-10.
La Tech has a football tradition from the past, kinda like OM, and it is unreal how there student body will remind you of a smaller version of OM. Pretty arrogant school, I know from the past as I coached a long time ago at NLU (basketball) and being an Msu graduate it was pretty funny (Billy Brewer was the HC back then)!

and what's really crazy is that they are an engineering school and called the Bulldogs. I thought that their campus looked somewhat similar in some ways to ours as well.

A couple of things I remember- they had this big *** tower in the middle of campus- I think it's their "trademark" like the we have the Chapel of Memories. And they also had this big rocket in front of one of the buildings.

It's weird.

"Now Houston has a critical decision to make....whether to go for one or two points."..that's a fact.

You may have already noticed that I tired of that subject last evening.

Well do I remember the Houston debacle.
That was the same night Bama beat Ole Miss, 33-32 on national TV.
Archie went down.

I was already living in Huntsville then, and my roomie, who later became mayor of HSV,
found the Houston game on the radio at halftime. The score was already 37-0 at halftime, and he said "wouldn't it be funny if they doubled that and beat us 74-0?" I said, "no, not really."
They did, and it wasn't.

Anyway, you gleaned the nugget of my thought.
Feces occurs. Especially for MSU.

I have indeed witnessed decades of suckiness.

Actually partied with him a couple of years ago, at his daughters' weddings.

Roomed with him for two years; the most awesome roomie I ever had.

With all due respects to my ex-wives.
Different paradigm entirely.

His wife, a former Playboy bunny, calls me "roommate-in-law."
That woman's incredible, she could still be a bunny.

I was there the night they met, at a Friday night party hosted by one of our MSU buds.
That's like, almost 40 years ago.

Ancient history; who cares.

PS- enjoyed our visit at the AutoZone shop last week. That was indeed an impromptu encounter. Lunch at the Bevill Center, perhaps? I'll round up some Dawgs from work to join us.

</p>Arrogant? All you have to do is remind them that Terry Bradshaw graduated from there.
