That is a great question. But, it is a little conditional. For what he did WHILE he was here: Ron Polk (version 1.0). For how he went out: King Jackie (They both quit on us, but Napoleon Polk is 'ing melting down!)

Ron Polk is still going to get a lot of credit for taking our baseball program and SEC baseball to the next level. Ron is also a big reason why we were able to get a coach like Cohen. So, despite today, I'm still going with Polk.

BUT

I think MSU people are finally starting to realize that there is more to MSU baseball than Polk. I hope that coaches like Paul Gregory and RP Patty are recognized a little bit more through all of this.

Jackie let the program get way out of control, and so did Polk. Fortunately, we don't have to wait 2 extra years to finally figure that out with Polk. Jackie leaves a more favorable legacy because I can't ever remember ANY coach from ANY sport that has acted the way he has acted these last 3 months. He is embarrassing. Jackie had a lot of personal goings-on during those last couple of years. Polk has just lost his freaking mind. What a @@!@*%@ douche.

Sherrill = almost contender teams

Polk = several contenders

But what's left? Some of us would have Jackie back. None of us would have Polk back.

There are some, as ridiculous as it sounds, that would take Jackie back in a New York minute. I don't know of anyone that would take back Polk now. It really is mind-boggling how childish he has acted over all of this.
