as a critical measure of team rankings. Many are pointing to the SEC benefiting from RPI as the conference benefits from elevated RPI by playing each other. What do you expect if the best teams are in the SEC. Would there be complaints if it were the ACC or B1G? I think not.
Want to raise your RPI, play some games against SEC teams.

I'm guessing they may be whining about it now because the SEC might add another conference game making it even harder to play them. Kinda funny if you think about it... outsiders thinking they can influence a decision like that.

In football I'll concede each year you could debate which conference is the best.
However, in baseball IMO there is no doubt the SEC is the best, top to bottom.
I'm interested in anyone 's opinion and facts that prove that's not the facts.

I was thinking football but I guess the timing of the complaints could also point to baseball. Prestonyte didnt really make that clear.
Sorry, yep baseball discussions on radio and interview with the committee chair gave the impression that RPI is in the cross hairs because of SEC dominance in regionals.

Im all for less subjectivity in the rankings if possible. In fact I wish there was none at all. Last thing I want to see is more tho. I would guess the rpi system probably works better in baseball than most other sports but I'd be interested to hear what their fix would be... but something tells me anyone trying to get rid of the rpi system probably isnt interested in having less subjectivity.

Then I suspect they will attack SOS also. The committee can't remove all the means of finding the best teams.
