if Mo. goes to Big 10 whatever, Tn. to SEC west, Clemson to SEC east. The Big 10 mess is going to be interesting.

While I do think Arkansas would be better off in the Big 12 for recruiting purposes and ability to win big, they won't ever leave. Unless something changes with other leagues getting the truckloads of revenue that the SEC is getting, no one will leave the league. You don't turn down the SEC paycheck, especially now. It has been the sweetest deal for a while financially, but the ESPN deal has put the SEC in a whole new ballpark compared to the rest of the country.

you're not thinking like an Arkansas fan, who have perhaps the dumbest fanbase in the SEC, and yes, dumb enough to leave the SEC despite the facts.

or we would add Tulane to balance out having a private, strong academic school in each conference.

I vote for adding Tulane.

Give us Vandy, since they are farther west.

my arguement for Tulane. It would be good to have another Mississippi school in the SEC.
Todd, what am I missing here?

I'm assuming "Mississippi school" is shorthand for "schools without SEC quality football programs that are nonetheless in the SEC"

TULANE!! Thatd be the ****.

Of course they would have to start giving a **** about their athletics if this happened and put a financial emphasis on em.

same paycheck split less ways sounds good to me, take out the divisions and go Big 10 style.

On a serious note, Arky is going nowhere.

Would you like to keep the SEC Championship game, and the revenue that comes with it? If yes, you are required to have 12 teams.

/in case you were being serious

Did Tulane need permission from the State of Mississippi to open branches within its boundaries? It seems odd to me that an out-of-state university, private or not, is allowed to compete with Mississippi institutions, in the state, for tuition money. Surely the state gets a cut of the money, right?

That doesn't answer my question. Did the State of Tennessee have to approve the opening of the branch? Does the State of Tennessee get financially compensated? Belhaven is competing with their publicly funded schools within their border.

I think the city of Madison approached Tulane about it, though. Then they had an informal community interest vote, and apparently it was enough for them to come on up to Madison.

Arkansas is just boring.
Because of how they left the first time there is no way they would get voted back in unanimously. State and Ole Miss would both block and I would expect other schools to do it as well.

Clempson would be the best match in my opinion.

Bingo. However, I don't know that their AD is that dumb. He is a transplant. But if the Tyson's and Walton's want it........it would not surprise me in the least.
