the more I get pissed thinking about how much LT didn't accomplish during his way too long tenure. If he had attacked things the way GB is attacking them, we would be light years ahead of where we are now.</p>

They wanted him to stay around to negotiate this deal. I think it was LT and not Byrne. Thats the irony of the whole thing. For years to come we'll read on this board about how Byrne isn't afraid to spend money and Larry was such a penny pincher. And it will be Larry all along that helped to provide the extra $10 million a year in our budget. Thanks LT.

IF he is so good at raising money why in the hell didn't he do it here?

My thought is he can raise money if he is told what to do. In other words, someone from the SEC office told him to get a TV contract with ESPN, and he got it done. Anything that requries vision, forget about it.

now thats funny...While i agree that he was a part of it, he in no way was the "closer"...With or without that douchebag a deal would have been made, period. He did put the time on it and was involved directly in the negotations and process...kudos

Great that means we left money on the table, anybody else would have gotten an extra $15 Million
