In 2021 we were 12th nationally in rushing YPG allowed. We brought back almost everybody in our defensive front and are 79th in rushing YPG allowed this year.

What the heck changed?

The defense seems to have a lot of holes. A lot of that is not having studs on the front. If you gonna run a 3 front those 3 gotta hold the line and leave the linebackers open to make plays. Our secondary was making a lot of the tackles Saturday which means our front was getting their *** whipped. I've also notice a major lack of speed from line backers. Except maybe Watson. Also seems to be a lack of discipline too. Guys are flying up field. Maybe a little too aggressive and not staying in their lanes.
