Run Game

For those of you who wanted a better run game, are you happy? It’s not about a run game, it’s about balance. You have to be able to do both. Our pass game is non existent. Did you notice UGA abandoned the run game in the 3rd quarter today, put Clemson away with passing then ran in the 4th quarter once the game was over. In today’s game it’s all about receivers and a OB who can get them the ball, and balance. I’ll take Legette and Rattler over what I saw today. Game plan was trash and I don’t see us winning a conference game this year. Did you see what Vandy did today? We have got to commit to a balanced attack or it’s time for basketball season.

I didn't see a particularly impressive run game today either.

Sanders broke a lot of tackles, but our O-line wasn't exactly creating gigantic holes for him to run through.

Just heard Beamer say the OL played well and were physical as heck. And put down fans that question this OL. We can't believe our lying eyes. Beamer is a gigantic mistake. And he's not going anywhere. And neither is our program.

What a clown! How can anyone support that point of view. Does he see nothing that needs fixing on the O line? He's like Question Hound saying, "this is fine."

This is the most concerning thing. Beamer doesn't seem able to see obvious deficiencies.

He simply does not sound like he knows what he's talking about.

I saw Sander breaking a lot of tackles after getting hit behind the line to pick up a yard or two. I can't recall seeing the OL open a hole.

Sanders ran tough and with some good elusiveness but had NO blocking. Beamer is using reverse psychology on the OL.

O-line play was not great, but the play calling was very predictable. They had little to fear in the pass game so made it easier to stop the run . At least we did try to throw in the 2nd half, but weren’t very good at it. Either open up the play book with Sellers or put Doty in. He has wheels and is probably a better passer . Today’s offense looked liked something from the early 80’s

I'm thinking there's something really wrong with him.

Another poster hit on it when he said Beamer is stubborn.

Beamer should have cut bait with Teasley last year, but he's so stubborn and prideful and wanted to prove that Teasley was a good line.

Not sure, but didn’t we have way more rushing yards today than in any game last year? My point still is, you have to be balanced, and we are not. We could have run for 300 yds today and that still wouldn’t help us in conference games. Our opponents didn’t run for 250 yds today, but I bet many of them passed for 250 or better, and ran for a 100

He isn’t one to make bold moves and I think he gets emotionally attached to his assistants!!

We also ran it 56 times. Did we ever run it that much last year?

Head coaches have only ''temporary friends'' on staff in the coaching business if they are successful.

Saban and Lane seemingly hated each other.

I know Shane wants the family thing going on, and that's nice, but in this profession you gotta be cutthroat sometimes.

ODU averaged 3.2 ypa, we averaged 3.1 ypa. Carolina had 288 yds total offense, ODU had 308 yds. If the late int doesn't happen, I think we are talking about how we managed to lose to ODU.

The run game is nothing to be proud of. We weren't facing Bama or even Clemson.

Dabo has focused on hiring ex players and guys he likes who are "yes" men. Look where that has gotten clemson. They are a shadow of their former team.
