I guess you earned it. Hard to say that considering our turnovers and other mental gaffes but that's the way we roll. I made the drive to Ruston and I really have to say that describing the atmosphere as "electric" is one of the most laughable things I have ever read on a message board. We were sat in the MSU section, KK, which was by far the worst section in the little stadium but at gametime we realized there was no one sitting from the goaline to the 50 on this side of the stadium so we just moved over and sat where we wanted to. We only had 3 or 4 people within 5 rows of us. The home side of stadium was fairly full between the 30s but entire sections were completely empty on this side as well. Stadium was at most 60% full. I don't really know how it was portrayed on TV, but this was my first hand experience. The fans never got on their feet the entire game until late into the 4th quarter. It was wierd. I think the Tech fans had the same impending sense of doom that the MSU fans had. In the end, Tech beat us fair and square and deservably so. The Tech fans didn't taunt us nearly as bad as I expected. I must say to have Tech students shaking their keys at us at the end of the game was the most surreal moment next to losing to Maine that I have ever had at an MSU athletic event and I have seen lots of crazy stuff. All in all, we did not deserve to win the game and kudos to Tech for doing what they had to do to win the game. Also, I would like to say that Tech fans acted with much more class than their brothers from Baton Rouge, and I have to say that was a breathe of fresh air. They won and they won with class. Now on to the next directional Louisiana school. Hopefully, the result will be different.
