Is this going to be the craziest, most dramatic coaching search in the history of sports?? I think it might.

$7.5 Million seems reasonable in todays coellge environment, who knows maybe Dablo's feelings are still hurt or he wants to escape his QB situation/ current coaching staff

He has changed his coaching staff in not so sure he would want to escape it. He’s made some legit replacements in my opinion. I don’t see it happening with his portal stance but who knows

I think the portal stance kills his chances at Alabama.

Anybody thinking Dabo is way off. At this point Dabo has shown to be a complete failure at grasping the new landscape of College football. If Saban stepped down 2-3 years ago he'd have had a better shot. Truth is Dabo is at the only place he can be at with his mindset on NIL and portal ball.

Bama doesn’t need to work the portal like Clem should. They just need to pick up a few to fill holes. Dabo is trying in the portal now. But he can’t afford much, and he’s only targeting players with multiple years left. That’s easier to swing at Bama.

His portal stance isn’t much different than Bama. His only problem is Clemson ain’t Bama.
Bama isn’t bama in this climate. I wonder how much they can truly keep up to the likes of Georgia Ohio state Michigan and Texas in this way of football.

They all have the same problems; some just have greater means and some manage the challenges better. But in any case, something's going to have to give. Changes are coming that will once again change the model - out of necessity. I suspect the changes are in the not too distant future.

Where did I say they were equal. I’m just pointing out that Alabama is not as well footed for pay for play as some of their competitors. I didn’t even mention Clemson. But since you made the comparison. Some of that was due to the guy that just left and also they have roughly the same endowment. Believe it or not. Alabama is a lot closer to Clemson situation than they are Texas and Ohio state.

I disagree. Their fan base is much more willing and able to buy players than clem. The endowment doesn’t mean anything in terms of NIL. If Darla Moore was a football fan we’d have very little to worry about.
