It's next door to eight new residence halls, so maybe that's the construction zone you were thinking of. The halls opened this fall.
I was in some meetings with the university architect about that time. Shortly after the Board of Trustees approved the new arena, I asked him about it in a meeting. He had heard nothing about it until the Board meeting that day. Typical athletics......dont ask anyone, just bull your way ahead and let the little people figure it out.
but you haven't been saying it until we started winning again in basketball. So when we start winning - the reason we do win is because the SEC is weak.
and dawgstudent's point is certainly valid, but the SEC looks pretty crappy so far, with the exception of UK and cough, cough, UM (hoping they make their normal conference swoon after playing well pre-conference).
