Per Wiki:

"Joseph Francis Judge is an American football coach currently serving as an offensive assistant for the New England Patriots of the National Football League. Judge served as the head coach of the New York Giants from 2020 to 2021."

Are you saying Judge made this statement? The article doesn't specify.

I would like to see what he could do with an OLine that can block and a good offensive system. the vaGiants are a turrible team.

That was what I thought when I first read the article.
Exactly. Watching a game a few years ago and after repeatedly running Barkley between the tackles behind the Giants putrid OL, they finally got him in space and threw a swing pass to him. He caught it a few yards beyond the line of scrimmage with a two defensive players, one on each side, slightly ahead of him with good angles. As soon as he caught the ball, Barkley put up the index finger on the hand in which he wasn't carrying the ball as if to say "see ya" and blew past both of them for a long TD. Maybe the cement head coach who made this claim is oblivious to how awful the Giants OL has been for most of Saquon's career (hard to get pound ahead for 4 yards when you are hit 2 yards behind the line of scrimmage as soon as you touch the ball) and is too young to remember Barry Sanders.

The truth is that SB's style was never going to translate into long NFL career. He is reckless with his body. We were all in awe of his individual ability. We are all thankful for highlight reel runs in leading PSU back to Rose and Fiesta bowls. That said, we all b$tched at his backward runs trying to make something out of nothing.that lost yards. He was always a knee pop away from losing his edge. It happened. He need to adjust to home run mentality. He can't get 25 runs a game. He can't take hits up the middle. He needs to be pass catching back in open space to survive in league a few more years.

Saquon is definitely not in my top 10 "I need 3 yards on 3rd or 4th down to ice the game" RBs, but he's probably as explosive of a RB as any who's played in the past 10-20 years.

If he ever can Snake Plissken his way off the Giants and get on any other team that isn't a complete disaster, he'd be one of the best in the NFL, like his first 2 seasons.

Not to mention the Giants QB isn't winning any contests on his own either. He kind of sucks.

Barkley delighted my mom with his athletic brilliance, especially in person at the Fiesta Bowl. That's enough for me. Eternal respect. (and he should have authored a win against the ******** when he opened the game with a kick return TD) We went to see him when the Giants played in Tampa and he got knocked out for the rest of the year.

You can't go home.

I don’t know who the “we all” you’re referring to might be in reference to “his backward runs,” but don’t include me. The only bitching I did back then was at our idiotic offensive scheme and our putrid OL. Only those two in combination could (and did) prevent Saquon from winning the Heisman. He made something out of nothing (well, worse than nothing because he was getting hit four yards deep) better than any PSU back I’ve ever seen.

I know but SB relies on planting the foot, changing direction and acceleration more than other backs. That is what makes his special.

3rd and 3 in the NFL is a passing down.

Well, I am talking about the losses, particularly OSU and MSU losses in 2017 which cost him Heisman. OSU was certainly criticized by board and media but not by everyone I guess. Problem is that every game with Giants is like OSU-PSU and he has to learn to take what he can get. He still has homerun mentality.

Talented kid that never should have been drafted where he was, future can still be bright however.
