Is called “Hoover Sauce” can literally be funneled like a beer, it’s that 17ing good.

I recently used it on some tenderloin trimmings and ran a wooden kabob through the chunks. The hoover sauce caramelized on the skewers as I grilled.

Next morning a ran a bunch of veggies up the skewers and used them as twisters for my famous Bloody Mary’s at the camp.
One Ol boy took all of the veggies off and just ate the stick.

Probably one of my best sauces that I don’t mind sharing.

I’m a 20 year or so Hoover veteran. Used to have to get someone to pick me up some when they went through the delta. Back when it was in glass jars.

I love it on kabobs too. Brush it on as it’s finishing up. I use it on tenderloins on the grill too.

Same here. The sauce that cooked up before having to go through the FDA requirements and labeling was MUCH better than the version now. In the past I would buy it by the gallon.

There's always one in every crowd and in this instance, its me. I heard about it forever and finally bought a bottle at Kroger awhile back. Opened it, took a taste. I guess its still in a cabinet somewhere because I never used it, couldn't stand the taste.

To each their own and I totally get it if you don't like it but to eat it straight out the bottle instead of using it as a glaze/marinate is 2 totally different things. I can't imagine sticking my finger into a bottle of mustard or mayo and just eating it like it's soup....but on a hotdog or burger it's pretty dang good.

It's the best, been getting it for 15-20 years when a friend from there there would pick it up for me. Use it on just about everything, my wife and I even put a little on our baked potato when we cook a steak.

I’m a sauce and seasoning junkie and I’ve used Hoover multiple times but honestly I can’t differentiate it from a regular teriyaki glaze. I like it and it’s one of my go-to’s for smoked wings. I think it’s more of a regional thing, it reminds people of home. My thing like that is Golden Eagle Syrup. I can eat it and close my eyes and I’m transported to my mom’s kitchen table.

Definitely must have been a sixpacker if they chose to eat a 17ing stick rather than contaminate their body with the veggies.

I’m mostly in this camp. There are a few things I like it on, pork tenderloin being one, but there are probably a dozen marinades/sauces that I use more frequently. I knew Mr Hoover and his wife for a short time. Really nice folks.

Was friends with Hoover Lee’s son Stan while in school at MSU. Lived below him in an apartment complex. Was certainty not expecting a deep southern draw along with boots when I first met him. Good guy and glad Hoover Sauce is still thriving
