RT was being filled by Melichar.

Im getting pissed at Mike Brown and the Budweiser guy as I type.

at the guards so, if he's good enough, Jenkins could slide on over right now. Apparently, he's just not good enough.

Saulsberry is impressive...unless he's standing next to Mike Brown or Derek Sherrod, then not so much.

He's as big as Sherrod. Shouldn't this guy be contributing by now if he was worth a ****?

size isnt everything (see D. Davis / C. Wilson) - but you can just look at Sherrod and see that he has NFL all over him - it is not just how big he is but how he carries the weight.

Merritt had never played OL until he got to here and supposedly still has some work to do on his flexibility. I'm hoping next year someone will step up at RT and allow Saulsberry to slide to guard where he fits the best.

Gates started as a freshmen at one of the tackle spots because Roland Terry never could nut up. I understand he may be a better guard, but if we have plenty of depth at guard, why not use him at right tackle?

don't count out Phillip Freeman, the new JUCO at RT during the year. Right now he's running 3rd string LT, but Croom always makes the new guys earn it in fall camp. So we've got Melichar, Saulsberry and Freeman competing at that position with Jenkins the failsafe if the other guys are just putrid. What we can't afford is an injury to Sherrod.

From what I read, Dakota is being used at guard just like Tobias. Looks like at least the left side of the line is going to be pretty stong the next few years.
