My daughter just called me from a subway platform in Manhattan. A man with a weapon is threatening the lives of people. She is scared. Please say a prayer for her.

The NYPD were coming down the steps as my daughter was running out. Thanks for the thoughts. She takes the L and transfers at Union Square. A man with a knife was rushing at people and threatening them.

Ah geez. Just got off the subway, seems like a few extra crazies out today.
She is tough, but she was scared. I am looking at the New York interwebs to get reports on the incident. I don't see anything. I guess it is just another day in Gotham City.

Very true. It may be every day life in NYC, but it becomes too real when family is involved. If you haven't already, I hope you two get to talk soon. If she needs to, I hope she has someone to talk to.
We talked. She loves big city life. She lived in LA for four years. She has experience dealing with creeps and mashers. She handled a few of them all on her own. Weapon holding thugs? No.
Just saw this, although I did see another poster's reference to it. So glad for you and her that all ended OK. Scary.
