Officials missed another big call in the UF/Miami game by blowing a play dead too early. Didn't effect the outcome like the AU game, but was big at the time.

I definitely think the coaching staff should be given some penalty. They practiced and executed a play they knew (or should have known) that was against the rules. Any go away with it.

There was a similar play in a UK vs Vandy game early in the Stoops era. The only difference was Vandy lined up with 10 and then a receiver stepped in from the sideline. The play ran without him being covered for an easy score. The Oklahoma play was otherwise almost identical to that. Maybe the play was not illegal then. Who knows? but I'm more inclined to agree with @Chadrock
However Stoops was heavily criticized for not calling a TO.

Apologies are necessary in these situations but ultimately they do not amount to crap. You still had an all important W turned to an L wrongly and they aren't going to fix it.

I remember we ran that same exact play at Florida in 2010. The color guy gave us a load of **** for that the rest of the game. Good times
