In fact, the whole SEC pretty much sucks at cutting decent TV deals. We give the best contract to CBS, thus ensuring that the Worldwide Leader will give us a little coverage as they can get by with. We give the regional contract to possibly the worst company around, and then sell the rest to a company you can only get if you have Comcast cable. I really don't think the SEC could have cut worse deals if they had intentionally tried to screw things up at every turn.

You're almost guaranteed 3 national SEC games every Saturday (CBS and 2 ESPN games). We have the regional games on Raycom/JP/Lincoln or whatever (and so does the ACC). The Big 11 has its own network with the only problem being that nobody in Big 11 country seems to be able to watch it on their local provider. Their national games are on ESPN at the ungodly time of 11 every week. The Pac-10 and Big 12 have FSN and sometimes ABC (regionally a lot of times).</p>
