If he likes the outdoors make sure nominate him for an activity with https://www.catchadream.org/ if he hasn’t already. He can do even if has had a make a wish. Great organization. My son went on a hunt with them 15 years ago and sponsor a hunt most every year.

He just went on a hunt with hope outdoors this past weekend and got his first deer. So he’s had a busy weekend.

Good stuff! I would love to hear his thoughts on his lunch with Will and on being on the sideline this Saturday.

Will has gone above and beyond for my nephew Charlie. I still can’t figure out the photos so I’ll add some links at the bottom if someone can share them

I didn’t give much info about Charlie before, so I will now. He is 14 and has head full of sports info. He’s a huge state fan, and was devastated when he had to miss last years games at Davis wade.

Charlie has a condition called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. His body tries to consume his muscles. Most boys that have this loose their mobility in their teens, and due to the muscles of their hearts failing life expectancy is about 20. Charlie has been on a trial drug for over 2 years that was keeping him mobile and a good range of motion. Earlier this year he broke both legs within a month of each other. He just doesn’t have the muscle strength to recover. He made the decision in august to stop the physical therapy and to be in his chairs full time. He just couldn’t keep himself upright and would risk breaking more bones.

Charlie was also born with a cleft lip and pallet. He had 12 surgeries before his 2nd birth day. This kid is tough as nails, yet keeps a good attitude through it all.

Can’t thank Will and strange brew enough for making all of this possible for this boy. He is on cloud nine.
