Roughly in 145 days South Carolina went from being picked 14th place to Coach Le Monde Paris being SEC Coach Of The Year.

"Lamont Paris’ squad did not receive quite as favorable prognostications from the SEC media. The Gamecocks were selected 14th (that’s dead last) in the preseason SEC standings, and not a single player in garnet and black was picked to make the preseason All-SEC teams as USC was completely shut out from the award voting."

Wouldn't have surprised me if they picked Mizzou's coach for going an impressive 0-18, which is pretty hard to pull off.
Don't jinx it. Dennis Gates was the darling last year. He had a squad. Won 25 Games and won a game in the Big Dance. There were some on this board that said that we should have hired Gates instead of Paris. It's almost like the two have switched places this year. Hope they don't switch back.

He inherited Kobe Brown and he brought half of the Cleveland State basketball team with him to Missouri. I guess they all left after last season. I think Missouri had a decent starting five, but I think the bench is what hurt them. They did recruit very well bringing a bunch of at least four stars rated players or higher that will be arriving this coming summer/fall.

I think South Carolina and Vanderbilt is the two teams that traded spots from last season to this season. Last season Vanderbilt finished 11-7 conference record tied with Tennessee and Missouri and South Carolina finished 12th with 4-14 record

This season South Carolina finished with 13-5 conference record tied with three other schools and Vanderbilt finished 4-14 record in 13th place. Also Stute leaves Vanderbilt for South Carolina.
