going into week 1:
  1. Texas
  2. Georgia
  3. Alabama
  4. Tennessee
  5. Ole Miss
  6. South Carolina
  7. Texas A&M
  8. LSU
  9. Missouri
  10. Florida
  11. Auburn
  12. Oklahoma
  13. Arkansas
  14. Kentucky
  15. Vanderbilt
  16. Mississippi State
I'm not trying to be negative. We can be improved and still be last in the SEC. I think we will win four or five games and feel better going into next season.

How do you rank the league after watching zero games?

I'd almost consider moving Vanderbilt up above Kentucky and Arkansas. Kentucky didn't show a pulse against anybody but Ole Miss last year and Arkansas is just bad this year. Pittman will probably be fired at some point this season

I think you have OM and SC too high, A&M and UF too low. The rest seem about right. LSU will be one to watch for me this year - I could see them being really good or taking a step back. I don't trust Kelly, but their talent (as always) is legit.

4-12 is really hard to predict and feel good about it.

No doubt. Yours is as good as any, I'm just nitpicking w/ my own thoughts. I do think A&M has too much talent and finally now a coach that will use that talent properly, unfortunately, and that they will threaten 4th place. And I am probably wearing maroon glasses, but I think/hope OM will drop off at least a little without Dart.

Before any game is played everything put out by organizations or media is bull ****. You can come up with your own power ranking and be just as accurate right now.

Ole Miss in Atlanta?

They would probably have to go 11-1 (loss at Georgia), which means they would have to beat LSU, South Carolina, and Florida at home, and Oklahoma on the road. It's not likely, but it's not crazy.

Most people don't think this Ole Miss is that good after all they lost to the NFL draft, but 11-1 isn't off the table because of that easy-*** schedule.

That's bold. Mississippi will be about what they were last year, maybe a little worse. Actually they should be a little worse. They lost a lot. They'll be top 8 for sure, but not top 3.

Ole Miss is a situation to me where people are seeing the easy schedule but not that their talent is pretty noticeably less than last year. I realize they have the portal king reputation but they lost A LOT. They portalled hard last year to supplement a lot of returning guys… this year they don’t return very much.

I think they are closer to a 7 or 8 win team than a 9 or 10 win team. Which, I mean 7-5 or 8-4 for OM in a down year still is very good for them historically.

That schedule is trash. And they are going to be very good.

Even two losses gives them a chance to get to Atlanta, because every other team is going to have someone play their best game against them. All depends on the who ends up beating who.

The Rebel Bear Landshark Admiral Gray Squirrel Ackbar Bastards always get lucky. The best chance of them getting upset is Nov. 28 - and I will be there for it.

I think our best chance of winning the Egg Bowl is Ole Miss coming to Starkville with 3+ losses and a checked-out team and State coming in with 5+ wins and some momentum.

They only return 4 starters. Yeah, they did bring in six 4* transfers, but those guys can't play 17 positions. And I know their QB is getting a lot of hype, but a first year starter is a downgrade from a 1st round draft pick.
