Agreed. I wasn't a fan of his at all.Am I alone in getting tired of RG3? I kind of liked when he first d calling games. But i grew tired of his antics.
I admit its just a matternof taste too.
Robert Griffin does at times go on too much a bit, but I think he can turn a boring game into an interesting game. Some of these commentators at the SECN are too bland. I think it would be great if Griffin ended up at SECN help calling games or being in the studio going over game highlights.Am I alone in getting tired of RG3? This is the problem. He thinks the game is about him, as the announcer. It's not - it's about the game. I don't turn on a game to hear the announcer blabber on and on making the broadcast about himself. All too often that's the "analysis" you get from color analysts these days. Dwayne Wade was like that in the Olympics basketball broadcasts.Robert Griffin does at times go on too much a bit, but I think he can turn a boring game into an interesting game. I think and commentator or analyst that has played the game tends to inject their experiences while broadcasting the game. I will admit that Griffin does that too much. What I like about Griffin is his breakdown of the play, the way he praises or criticize the players and the way he describes the game. This is the problem. You are not alone. I thought he did a pretty good job in his first year announcing. Since then, not so much. If he started out in a bit of a shell, he should have stayed in it.Am I alone in getting tired of RG3? I kind of liked when he first d calling games. But i grew tired of his antics.

Seeing as he was fired by ESPN and ESPN owns SECN, I don't think that is going to happen.DO NOT BE CHEAP AND YOU MUST HIRE ROBERT GRIFFIN RIGHT NOW!
I know that ESPN, ABC and SECN are related, and I think I have seen Greg McElroy on all three networks. I could be wrong, but I have no memory of SECN personnel every being let go. The only layoffs I hear about are personnel directly representing ESPN.Seeing as he was fired by ESPN and ESPN owns SECN, I don't think that is going to happen.
It doesn't matter what division you work(ed) for. If you are fired from one, you won't (can't) be hired by one of the others.I know that ESPN, ABC and SECN are related, and I think I have seen Greg McElroy on all three networks. Really, I would not want to see Griffin end up at FOX since I do not often watch their coverage of college or university sports.
He will and I think he will continue to grow into a good analyst. Also, it's a matter of the style you like. If people put up with Tony Romo talking all the time, I don't see the problem with RGIII. RGIII is still a really young man. Would probably still be playing if he didn't get that knee injury in Washington. All TV people have their ups and downs in the business. Stephen A was let go by ESPN once and now he names his price almost. He'll land on his feet somewhere. There was a time, when TV only needed a handful of color commentators. Now, with darn-near every football game in the country being televised, there aren't enough former college QBs to go around, it seems.
I would much rather have him than some shrill, screaming female announcer. Just saying.Agreed. I wasn't a fan of his at all.
I'd prefer to just have good, quality announcers regardless of gender. I don't understand why that's too much to ask of ESPN.I would much rather have him than some shrill, screaming female announcer. Just saying.

I did not know he was let go because of his opinion. I honestly thought he was let go due to ESPN budget spending. Now it makes sense why he has no chance ending up at SECN. With CBS expanding covering college university football maybe he will end up there. Gary Danielson and Robert Griffin in the booth together would be interesting. The fact he was let go for agreeing men should not be allowed in women’s sports should be alarming to everyone. Sad statement about society.

Yeah, him and that gorgeous host on the Sunday show were let go immediately after their comments. Coincidence? I think not. ESPN painted it as budget cut decision.I did not know he was let go because of his opinion. I honestly thought he was let go due to ESPN budget spending. Yep….that was their slant. That’s why the two on there that spoke out against men in women’s sports were the two let go. Budget cuts….lolThis. I read that it was a
cost cutting move to fit Jason Kelce in the budget.
When Romo started out with CBS I thought he was really good. He could tell you what the next play would be. But yeah, now he can't shut up. Joe Buck is another one who can't ever shut up.If people put up with Tony Romo talking all the time
Once ESPN puts the star on your clothing you are done working for them.It doesn't matter what division you work(ed) for. If you are fired from one, you won't (can't) be hired by one of the others.
A great example is that it would have made perfect sense for David Pollack to end up on SECN after being let go from College Gameday. However, that didn't happen, again because ESPN owns SECN.
Sage Steele? Sage Steele was an airhead that you could find anywhere. People just take up for her because of her right leaning views. She brought nothing to sports whatsoever. You may have had a point with Ponder, but ESPN has been letting go left leaning analysts for cost cutting too. What did Jeff Van Gundy do? Mark Jackson? Jalen Rose? Keyshawn Johnson? I guess you may not know about their terminations because they don't follow your "the right is persecuted" narrative.Yep….that was their slant. Griffen, Sam Ponder, and Sage Steele. Three of their best with one comment in common. Coincidence I guess.
simma down Kamala...............sometimes facts just aren't what you want them to be. And Sage being an airhead is your opinion. I guess Kamala is brilliant and should be running our country. Sage being an airhead on a sports show is much less scary.Sage Steele? Sage Steele was an airhead that you could find anywhere. People just take up for her because of her right leaning views. See, this is why you got practically run off your own basketball thread. You just don't know how to have a respectful conversation. I wasn't talking about politics. Sage Steele was just a poor sports personality in my opinion that was on ESPN far too long because of political pressure to keep her. Since you know facts, what was her specialty as an analyst. I will tell you. She had none. Just a face that is good to keep a couple of years and cycle through.simma down Kamala...............sometimes facts just aren't what you want them to be. Like metro boy, Jordan Rodgers?...I didn't pay much attention, so not sure what changed, but over time I would watch games and internally think "man, I wish this guy would shut up".
**Beth Mowins**I would much rather have him than some shrill, screaming female announcer. Just saying.
Lots of luck with that. Oh, was that a joke?I'd prefer to just have good, quality announcers regardless of gender. I don't understand why that's too much to ask of ESPN.
