The ESPNU crew were talking this tonight and suggesting if transfers DURING the season, meaning the academic term, were not open, there would be lawsuits. What schools will let any student transfer during the academic term? How can a student (player) transfer from school X to school Y in say mid-October? ESPNU crew saying this is coming and it is good for football. I don't think that schools can be forced to take academic transfers in-semester just for football? Nobody owes these players a professional living......what if they are not eligible academically? This is totally outside any football model, unless we are just going to move these teams outside the school and they do not have to attend any classes or be students.

IIRC, someone transferred during the 2021 season to The Ohio State University and was a starter a week or two later.
