makes me really feel that a new day is coming across the board in the Bryan Building. I truly believe a national championship is coming within 5 years in Baseball. I also feel that there is a new accountability feel in the air. Byrne is sharper and more stoic than I first thought and very professional in demeanor. Congrats Byrne and Cohen. Polk will very soon be a memory. A bad one. Edited to also say: Byrne mentioned benefits, etc. I wonder if MSU has an EAP (Employee Assisstance Program), someone needs to refer Polk to it.

a long time to have something to be proud of in the Bryan Building. Greg's simply making all the right moves and says all the right things. I'm mainly impressed with how well he handles the media. He's open to them and is extremely down to earth. He and Cohen could have easily gotten rattled but they both took on the hard questions head on with zero hestitaion. What can I say, haven't been this proud to be a Bulldog in a long time.

Byrne is 36. Cohen is 41. Young fresh blood is what we have been needing at MSU for a while.

I think Cohen will be here a lot longer than Byrne. He does his job like he still thinks he has places to go. If he keeps making gutsy decisions like this, he will have Floridas, Texases and Ohio States beating his door down.

..We no longer have to feel embarrassed about MSU baseball or our MSU baseball coach.

Cohen (in the presser) made it clear he is going to concentrate on winning national championships in lieu of bitching about the NCAA at every turn.

What a breathe of fresh air that will be.
