Correct me if I'm wrong. I believe every time we've tried a long ball to Harbor He has to slow down and adjust to the ball. The defenders have caught up to him by then.
I'm glad we're trying it because if we could just hit one and even when we don't the defense has to think about it.

I think Lanorris is holding on to the ball about one second too long. He needs to take two steps back and sling it as far as he can. I don't know if Nyck will catch it in stride or not but at least He won't be fighting through two defenders.

Great win tonight. It's about time we put a whole game together. Even in a game that hour pass rush didn't dominate at least they made themselves felt in the second half. Lanorris is becoming a tough customer. I believe we've only begun to see his development. This team is really missing Xavier or a Juice. The fact that a freshman had to step up to be our number one WR is telling.

I think we have a chance to win the rest.

Not knocking any one player here - but our WR corp has a lot of dropped passes. Easy passes. And if I'm a WR thinking of entering the portal, and after seeing this team - it's quite obvious we need immediate help - I've probably got S. Carolina ranked very high in my thoughts. We'll see what happens. Need a couple of TE's with every class too, imho.

I agree with the observations expressed. Sellers is also not that accurate, so let's get that in there. To be fair, he's under a lot of heat. We let blitzers come in free a bunch tonight.
I don't disagree about his accuracy. I don't think he's ever going to be the type of quarterback that zips the ball into a tiny window before the receiver even makes his cut kind of thing. But I think it's hard to judge his accuracy right now like you said he's rarely had time to stand in the pocket. He had two bad passes early in the game tonight one of the to Harbor where he was too high and too hard as he is apt to do. He's got to work those yaya's out of his arm before the game somehow.

Those long balls though are the opposite. He needs to let them go sooner and higher. He and Harbor should time that pass a hundred times a week until it becomes a muscle memory for them to complete it.

All that extra rep stuff has to be offseason or something, the long Harbor passes will take tjme bc hes so uniquely fast. So much to do in so little time allowed by NCAA, they probably just dont have time to rep it that much. Remembering its year 1 for Sellers as QB1

Keep in mind that Harbor also missed time due to Olympic trials. And I am not one was angry about it; if it was his dream, he should have.

I loved to see us start the game with a deep ball attempt to Harbor. It allowed us to open up the short passes underneath and help with the run game.

This year seems to be the confidence and adjustment year for Sellers, which was expected. I think we have all seen him start to come into his own over the season. As the dust has settled, accuracy is not his strength. He seems like the type that’s willing to work to improve and I think he can become the type of accurate passer nfl scouts like. There’s just too much natural ability there for him to not practice anticipation and accuracy this offseason and develop that over the next two years.

That, and our pass rush, make us look like Georgia this year. We haven't resembled Georgia in a long time. Those boys down there are dropping a bunch of balls [and their quarterback is a weenie at decision making]. I'm not comparing Sellers to him in that regard. I actually think Sellers is making better decisions than that Beck boy at this moment in time.

I'm not sure Harbor tracks the ball as well as X did last year. Also on the second half deep ball, it was thrown to a different part of the field nowhere near Nich. missing that QB receiver symbiosis. Not sure of his value at receiver still??

They are going to hit the big one one of these days. Can`t wait to see it. His catch on the sideline vs. Bama was one of the best of the football season, period.

Beck always seems down and depressed. Also, when he's not wearing all that black crap on his face - he looks like a young Christopher Walken. Lol. I agree with you about the rest.
