I hope everybody made it safely through the storms last night. Safe to say the moderate risk verified quite well. Fortunately, I don't think we got the violent long track tornado, but we made up for it out of the sheer number of storm reports. Last I saw, the storm reports from last night took 13 pages. I know Choctaw, Webster, and especially Lowndes counties were hit pretty good. In the coming days we will get some hard data on tracks and strength as the NWS conducts its damage surveys. Good news, is things look quiet for the foreseeable future. There are some rain and storm chances the next 10 days, but as of right now it does not look like any severe weather should occur.
