My Great Uncle Leon (Lee) Weiss served in the 3103d Signals Brigade, which is now the 11th Signals Brigade out of Fort Hood, Texas. He celebrated his 100th birthday last year and received a letter from General Paul M. Nakasone, thanking him for his service. Apparently, I'm learning today, My Great Uncle was in the battle of the bulge and was part of Operation Fortitude South (The deception that the invasion would take place in Pas De Calais. He also liberated concentration camps and being a Jewish G.I. of course makes us extremely proud. I'll try to scan and attach the correspondence. G-d Bless all.

That news lifted my spirit.
