I saw that but thought it sounded like semantics. Kamara was already leaving the team, right? It's not clear if Kamara's expectation was to redshirt but remain on the team, but Shane kicked him off the team. I wouldn't imagine a player who was telling his coach that he was going to refuse to play the rest of the season and transfer to a new team next year would also be planning on staying on the team.

I think it was the right choice. Pull the scholorship. Give it to a student that wants to be there to help the team even if it is a scout team player. It may make others think twice about pulling that crap. You have to stand for something.

And it's not just because he's not entitled to use the facilities any more. I wouldn't want him being around the remaining players while using those facilities. No program can afford to have somebody hanging around who isn't committed to it, telling others his (negative) opinions about the program, where he hopes to go, whatever BS his agent told him, etc. His mentality will spread like a virus.
