I read that article. It is well written, but there's nothing to it. It could be summarized in one sentence, maybe two. "We don't want to spill the beans on who's calling plays, we've been in contact with many highly qualified OC candidates, and Rattler hasn't made his decision about the draft yet.
My guess is Shane will name an interim OC for the bowl game. That guy will then have a shot at becoming permanent. I know many of you want a "big name" hire. However, I like the chemistry of this staff. Bringing in an outsider (especially one with a big ego) might hurt more than it helps. It's clear we will never know who called the last two games. If it wasn't Satterfield then I want whomever it was. Having said that, I trust Beamer. If he opts to go with someone from another program I'll support that decision.

Beamer did a great job of that last year when he started Dak Joyner in the Mayo bowl.
