He has acted like a psycho and let Bieliema get in his head and make him look like a fool. His whining about the officials was pathetic early in the game and his histrionics on the sideline are childish . It is hard to say much about Dabo's antics when Shane acts like he did today.

Yeah, you’re not wrong. Bielema trolled him, got in his head, and then beat him. I like Beamer, but he needs to mature past that. About the worst thing you can do with someone who’s trying to get under your skin is let them know that they have.
Agreed.
I believe he will get better.
It didn't help that sellers was average at best and our coordinators can't adjust.

Bielema's grin when Shane lost his **** told everyone that Bret knew he was in his head and was loving it.

Shane has acted like this since day one. He needs to grow up and quit acting like a cheerleader.

Sellers was definitely Bobby Fuller caliber tonight. Glad he played like he did up in Pickens County. Always appreciate & enjoy those wins.

I don't blame Sellers....it is obvious coaching changed the way he normally plays. I smell Shula interference.

He had every right to blow his top. I dont fault it one bit. The problem is after you do that, there has to be some in game revenge plan.
Figure our a way to say FU to the other coach on the field. We didnt.

Seriously, he was hired as a CEO coach. His job during the game is primarily cheerleader, right?

I agree, he lost his cool, and I thought that before the total meltdown. If someone on his staff won't call him out, maybe his dad will make a phone call.

Wrong…..he acted like a coach who gives a damn.

He did not have the same running intensity as the past few games. He looked like opening day Sellars. But he got better in the second half
Thought crossed my mind mid game since we were without RS, the game plan could have been to work on pocket passing for future use. I know you play to win the game etc, however bowl practice is opportunity to work on things as this.

I liked the fire in Beamers reaction. Maybe it awakened some killer instinct that Beamer and this program needs.

This is football not sleepy baseball or golf.
After game analysis: nope, did not awaken some killer instinct.

I seriously doubt he can change. It’s who he is. Bielemas job was to win the game. He knew very well what he was doing. Shane looked stupid and unhinged.

U r a clown….. the good news is we are the ACC champions. How does that feel?
This is a stupid comment. We bash the ACC then want to be the champion? We talk about how bad Clemson sucks then tout it as a great win? 17-14 is the only answer trolls deserve if any response at all.

I hoped that the team would respond to Beamer's tantrum like a baseball or basketball team when the coach gets ejected. Then it would have been worth it. But in the end he just looked like a Chihuahua barking at a Great Dane.

One shot on our sideline bench of Sellers shortly after he once again missed the potentially game winning 11yd pass showed him laughing with I believe Lavardain. Told me all I needed to know. These are highly paid players who have limited emotional investment in the game. He missed wide open receivers on critical plays, again. IN a way I'm glad. The day will alleviate all the Heisman talk heading into next season. Maybe it will be different with better receivers, but he just doesn't seem to see the whole field. Example-throws the ball to an open receiver without regard to where the defender is coming in to defend from. Throw slightly shorter if the defender is behind the receiver. The play that Simon got cracked in the ribs in the first half could have been avoided with better ball placement. He will learn and improve but is not a fully fleshed out QB yet. their guy was much better. Although all he had to do is throw it up and our DB's always get out jump balled. it is amazing how some of his really bad passes were completed. DB's with their back turned or falling down. Calling out 24 and 20 in particular. I used to love Kilgore but he seems to have become lazy in his coverages. In all of his cover's receivers caught balls unimpeded. Our D in the second half was abysmal. I watched the Penn ST. BSt game and man o man do both teams have talent all over the field. Makes me realize just how far we have to go. WE are still not physical enough at line of scrimmage. Our D-line is not good. WE need 6 or 8 new Bigger faster Dlineman next year.

Where was 95? though he was slated to play. He is our best DL??????

You realize the leading tackler & quite an imposing defender....an all-American....turned out to be a quitter & didn't play in said 2nd half. If he plays & is motivated to do so, Illinois doesn't have those successful drives. Hypothetical, I know, but I'd bet anything on it.
Yes - I see all the variables and agree we were missing two key players in the second half. However, that only exposes my biggest fear since mid-season and thinking forward to next year. We lack depth. They were without their best receiver and yet we couldn't cover them?? They seemed to have WR depth and DL depth, unlike us. Next may be back to normal as was this game. Underwhelming

You have no spine. Glad Beamer did.
Beamer didn't look like he had a spine, he looked like a hysterical woman having an emotional breakdown. Last night wasn't the first time either. He might be worse than Dabo when it comes to histrionics on the sideline. Beamer embarrassed himself last night.

I’m guessing he was probably told not to so he wouldn’t get hurt. Bowl games just aren’t meaningful anymore. Sadly

He was played by fatty. After 4 years, he still hasn't matured. SOS would have gone to hurry up with no subs. Beams was outclassed again. The hissy fit was ... fitting.

You never played ball for any decent coach.
What? What difference does it matter if I played for Fat Brad or SOS? I’m fine with a coach being fired up but not one that consistently show a lack of self control. Remember the broken foot?
