Coming down the stretch, the SEC has UT, Bama, us, Auburn, UF and Kentucky all battling it out for the top 4 seeds.
Kentucky and Auburn look, to have the easiest paths as UK finish out with Arkansas, Vandy, and UT. Auburn has the easiest by far with MSU, Mizzou and UGA.
Then it gets hairy.
Tennessee finishes with Bama, us and UK, the toughest draw of all.
Bama finishes with UT, UF and Arkansas.
We finish with UF, UT and MSU.
UF finishes with us, Bama and Vandy.
I'd say you'll most likely have UT and Bama in. They are both sitting at 12-3 and it's hard to imagine them losing more than a game or two down the stretch. I think Auburn gets in, assuming they win their last 3 easily. I don't see any of them finishing with more than 5 losses.
UK is already sitting on 5 losses and finishes @ UT, who is playing great right now. I'm gonna guess that loss #6 for them to push them out.
UF is also sitting on 5 losses. They have not been very good on the road this year, and play us at CLA. Then have Bama at home. I think our game against them could be for that last spot. If we win, that gives them 6 losses, along with UK. Assuming we lose to UT for our 5th loss, we then finish at MSU. Win that and I think that would seal it up. If we lost, we'd end up with a 3-way log jam of teams with 12-6 records, between us, UK and UF, but we would have beaten both UK and UF.. Of course, if Bama beats UF, that knocks them out with 7 losses.
So, yeah, our game against UF is enormous. I don't think a win necessarily locks up a top 4 spot. UK could upset UT and we could lose to UT and MSU.
Who knows...there's a million ways this could play out for that last spot. We could finish anywhere from #1-#7.
